The Spray Booth.

The Spray Booth is a positive pressure unit with baking functions. Sydney Vintage Car Restorations can spray paint your classic car in 2-pack, acrylic, POR-15 and baked enamel. Gillard is always happy to spell out the pro’s and con’s on each paint type and there application. As with all things the foundations are the most important part of a good re-spray. Without a good foundation the top coat will crack, blister and peel. The foundations start right at the metals surface good preparation will ensure that the etch primers and subsequently each of the following coats of paint bonds to their maximum strength.

A Triumph Tr 3.A gets a face lift in the Spray Booth. 2-Pack is used on the front apron panel to match the surrounding painted surfaces. Some suspension parts are being spray painted in POR-15 rust preventative paint. POR-15 is a great under-body paint because of it ultra tough surface.
This concourse winning Triumph is painted in an acrylic green and was present at the Sydney Vintage Car Restorations Grand Opening at Crookwell. To view more finished jobs visit the Past Restorations page.
